Marin Friends of Ferals is branching out!
For 10 years now MFF has advocated, with great success, for humane care and management of Marin’s feral community cats, having rescued over 2000 cats for TNR. But when we’re called upon by individuals and/or other organizations to help feral cats outside of Marin, we assist when time and resources allow.
Our main focus will always be Marin’s feral population but we don’t limit our rescue work to those geographical boundaries. We’re currently able to balance both local and distant outreach programs to save greater numbers of lives.
We’re pleased to say we’ve formed sister partnerships in Avsallar, Turkey and Mykonos, Greece to help fundraise for TNR and provide humane care for the multitudes of unaltered and starving cats in their cities. These felines represent a unique opportunity for us to partner with other like-minded TNR groups.
We are currently fundraising to send 2 veterinarians to Mykonos in early 2016 in order to conduct a massive spay/neuter week-long clinic with Mykonos vets while MFF volunteers trap and transport to the clinic. We will also be implementing a feeding program.
Marin Friends of Ferals views the Turkey and Greece cats as ambassadors for change — the kind of change that aligns with our mission to educate the public of the need for human intervention in order to improve the quality of life for all feral cats.
Please consider making a small tax deductible donation to our rescue efforts. We, and the cats, thank you for your support.
